Two Frontier Constabulary officers who disappeared in Bannu have been found dead in a graveyard, local authorities said Monday. The men were allegedly abducted by armed gunmen from a residential area the previous evening.
- ▪Havaldar Ishaq and Sepoy Umar Hayat, both from Platoon No. 59, were recovered from Kamali graveyard in Palosi
- ▪The personnel went missing after being allegedly abducted by unidentified armed men from Saifan Kozi Khel in Karam Garhi area Sunday evening
- ▪The abduction occurred within Cantt police station jurisdiction; security was tightened and a search operation launched following their disappearance
- ▪An investigation into the incident and the identities of the assailants is ongoing
- ▪The deaths come one week after an Elite Force constable was killed in the same Bannu Cantonment Police Station area
