Power tariff Increment By Rs 4.56 Paise Per Unit: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has declared an increment within the cost of power by Rs 4 56 paise per unit. Why? Well, it’s since of something called the December Fuel Cost adjustment (FPA). This increment will final for one month only.
Presently, here’s the scoop: This surge in power costs is due to higher fuel costs, and will result in an extra burden of Rs 39.80 billion on us, the consumers. But don’t worry, if you’re with K-Electric otherwise you are a Lifeline consumer, this increment will not influence you.
What does this cruel for us? Well, when we get our power bills in February, we’ll see a few extra charges due to this cost increment. Fair a heads up!
Gracious, and by the way, in November, there was another climb of Rs 4.13 per unit. Power costs appear to be playing a bit of a yo-yo diversion of late.
