Suicide Attack on Foreign Nationals, Two Terrorist Killed

KARACHI: Two terrorists were killed in an attack on a foreigner’s vehicle in the Landhi area of Karachi, however, all the foreigners traveling in a vehicle were safe and moved to an undisclosed location.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Malir Tariq Mastoi said there was a suicide attack on the vehicle.
According to the police, there were foreigners in the vehicle that was targeted and firing was also done at the time of the explosion. Three people were injured in the explosion.
According to the police, the persons who died in the incident have not yet been identified, but the two persons who were injured in the blast have been identified as 45-year-old Noor Muhammad and 45-year-old Langar Khan. Both were security guards and were in the car with them to protect the foreigners.
The police said that motorcycles had also been found near the foreigner’s car which was hit by the explosion. As a result of the explosion, the front part of the affected vehicle was severely damaged.
According to the police, five foreigners in the van were hit by the suicide attack and all the foreigners in the van are safe. The foreigners have been moved to a safe place, one suicide bomber was killed in the explosion while his other companion was killed by the police.
According to the police, preliminary information, the second terrorist killed in the encounter also committed suicide, a suicide jacket and a grenade were tied to the body of the dead terrorist, a vehicle and a motorcycle near the place of the explosion were damaged, and the bomb was disposed off.
Police officials said foreigners work in the export processing zone, the van was targeted by a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber, and a Kalashnikov and a bag full of hand grenades were also recovered from the scene.
The hospital authorities said that Noor Muhammad, Langar Khan, and Salman Rafiq were among the injured in the blast. The condition of the two is critical.
